Rajiv is an ex-Stephanian, a University Merit Lister in BA (Hons) Economics, and a Gold Medallist from IIM, Ahmedabad. He has had a varied career which started with Hindustan Lever Ltd. in Sales and Marketing, followed by a three year stint in the Tata Administrative Services where he was part of the team which set up India’s first Finished Leather Finishing & Leather Goods unit in the Corporate sector at Tata Exports Ltd.

He then entered an entrepreneurial phase for many years in Service Industry where he helped create a company which today is the leading supplier of niche materials for the Cigarette Industry.

Subsequently, he re-entered the Corporate Sector and has held Senior positions in Pepsi Foods Ltd. as VP Marketing, The Maharajah Organisation Ltd. (Sri Lanka’s leading private business group) as Director/CEO of their consumer businesses, Escotel Mobile Services (which created industry benchmarks in market and revenue growth and shares during his tenure) as Chief Officer Customer Acquisition and Retention, and most recently with Tata Teleservices, as Chief Operating Officer.

Rajiv brings this mix of Corporate and Entrepreneurial experience and skills in diverse industries and functions to LHS, with a view to creating an Executive Search firm with a difference.
